COVID-19 POLICY

We work tirelessly to understand our customers changing needs to deliver a competitive service which is safe, professional and efficient. As a business, we are continuously evolving our services to improve the customer experience and ensure the needs of our customers are met.

Who would have thought one of the needs was to help protect us all from COVID-19!

As COVID-19 evolved and the implications became clear, we developed a plan to help us manage and respond to the events of COVID-19 ensuring the safety of all our staff, customers, and drivers. Car 2000 provide an invaluable service to the community transporting critical key workers, key worker’s children, and vulnerable people who need to make essential journeys.

Our COVID-19 policy is to ensure our service can be provided and maintained whilst staying safe. Our service is driven by you and we are making every effort to keep you safe if you to choose to travel with us.

We established a plan to ensured continued service to our customers and drivers whilst adhering to all safety advice and Government guidelines. At Car 2000 we already have policies in place to deal with business continuity. We implemented our business continuity plan to ensure a continued service and availability of our critical systems. With the use of existing technology, we moved some of our operational staff to home working. Thus, ensuring all employees can productively, safely, and securely work from home. Where our offices are still open, we have increased the routine cleaning of high-touch, hard surface areas.

Drivers have been issued with hand sanitiser and face masks to help them stay safe, along with advice to use them properly – wash hands before putting them on and taking them off. Although it is not mandatory by law we have advised all of our drivers to wear face masks whilst working for the benefit of everyone. We also advised drivers to maintain airflow in the vehicle by keeping windows open a little and to request passengers not to use the front seat where possible.

We have provided ours drivers signage for their vehicles to make customers aware it is compulsory for passengers who are NOT exempt to wear face coverings.

Our drivers can only ask or remind the passengers to wear a mask, it is the passengers choice and them who will be liable for the fine. Our drivers can refuse service to any passenger who does NOT wear a mask and does not offer proof of exemption.

Let’s keep us all moving safely!
